Investment Market Update
Asia
Asian stocks bounced back, ending the longest losing streak of the year so far at five days, as concern over US President Donald Trump’s proposed tariff plan was seen easing.
US
US stocks rose and Treasuries erased gains as investors speculated that President Donald Trump’s tough tariff talk won’t translate into the most severe protectionist policies.
UK
UK stocks climbed, thanks to gains among mining companies and commodity stocks which had been among the worst hit after US President Donald Trump threatened higher tariffs on steel and aluminium imports.

Amazon is discussing a potential partnership to offer its customers bank accounts via JPMorgan Chase, in a deal that could unite America’s biggest bank with its biggest ecommerce platform.
Theresa May has unveiled a shake-up of planning rules to encourage the construction of more homes, as local authorities and developers insisted they were not to blame for the housing crisis.
